Get closer to our work by becoming a Friend of KLS

We consider anyone who donates their money or time to KLS as a friend of ours. As a KLS Friend you will have opportunities to get closer to our work by meeting staff and projects, attending briefing breakfasts, having your photo up in our community centre, or taking a tour of our 250-year-old building, which survived bombing during World War 2 and was ceremonially opened by the Queen Mother  in 1924. All opportunities for KLS Friends are completely optional.

A regular donation to Katherine Low Settlement makes a big difference to the lives of local people we work with. Your donation will enable us to keep running our older people’s lunch club, young people’s homework club, mentoring programme and ESOL teaching – and more.

More and more people are supporting our work. Do join us. No matter how large or small your donation, we appreciate what you can give.

P.S. Don’t forget to add Gift Aid as the government will add an extra 25% to your donation.

Please, please add Gift Aid

If you’re a UK tax payer then please don’t forget to Gift Aid your donation. This adds an extra 25p for every £1 donated (we claim this from HM Revenue & Customs). So we can make a donation of £100 worth £125 by claiming back the gift aid from HMRC. Just tick the box on the form if you are a UK taxpayer.

Join us! More ways to support our work

a. Get your trainers on and take part in a sponsored fundraising event

Lizzie was a hero and ran the marathon for KLS

Why not run the marathon (though Battersea Park will do), or swim the channel etc… ? Something fun, challenging and achievable. Whatever you decide to do we’ll support you in your endeavours. Let us know beforehand so that we can give you a bit of advice (if you need it), help you set up an online fundraising page (with someone like Virgin Money Giving) and spread the word too.

If you’re scratching your head about what to do then download this pack of A-Z Fundraising Ideas for some inspiration.

b. Adopt us as your ‘Charity of the Year’

Do you work in a local school or business then please choose us as your ‘Charity of the Year’. We’ve worked with local businesses like Nando’s, AS Watson Group, Hanne & Co and more.

Hanne & Co’s Pub Quiz

We provide lots of volunteering opportunities, as well as ideas and support to help your teams raise lots of money for our work. It’s a fun and rewarding opportunity to get to know each other over the course of a year. Do get in touch if you’d like to chat about this further.

c. Leave a gift in your Will

A gift or bequest in your will can make a world of difference to the lives of people in Battersea. See more here: www.klsettlement.org.uk/leave-a-gift-in-your-will/
