Thank you very much to everyone who took part in our ‘Spring Steps for KLS’. It was our first virtual event and a big success, so thank you! We have been crunching the numbers and counting up all the last minute step counts. We can now confirm that the total step count for KLS between 12th and 19th March was 5,051,067 steps and we raised just over £12,000. Thank you! Every single step taken and every penny donated makes a difference.
We loved receiving photos and videos from all the walkers. There must have been some very tired feet and dogs by the end of last week! We have put some of your photos into this short Thank You – I’m sure you’ll spot some familiar faces and landmarks.
As lockdown finally eases we are looking forward to a brighter future. From 12th April, we’re planning to gradually re-introduce our face-to-face work and re-open our community centre. We’ll be doing this slowly, cautiously and safely. Over the next few weeks we will be spring cleaning the building. The café area has already been given a fresh coat of paint and our garden area is being revitalised with the help of some local volunteers. When it’s safe to do so, we hope you will pop in see us for a cup of tea and a chat. It will be lovely to see you.
