Over the winter we convened the Battersea Cost of Living Network to help address the increasing cost of living difficulties that so many local people are experiencing. A group of 30-40 local Battersea charities, community groups and faith groups have been meeting regularly to deal with the rising costs of utilities, food, taxes and the hardships that these bring.
What’s going on locally
There is already a lot going on in Battersea to support local residents, but not everyone knows about it. So we’ve produced a short information leaflet about where you can get help locally. We’ve printed and distributed 17,000 hard copies, for those that prepare a paper version. You can download a digital version here: Wandsworth Cost of Living. Please share this far and wide. We will update it quarterly as these leaflets go out of date fast.
Training
We’ve organised some free training, kindly delivered by Citizens Advice Wandsworth, on the morning of 16th January 2023, for professionals to be able to better signpost and refer people to local services. If you would like to attend please email Aaron at [email protected]
Need help today?
If you need help please contact Wandsworth Council’s Cost of Living Hub (website) or call their free hotline on 0808 175 3339 between 9 am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.
