‘Tough Mudder’ – A.S.Watson fundraising for KLS

A.S.Watson have been one of our corporate partners for a number of years now. They’re brilliant and we really value their on-going support (thanks everyone!).

Vanessa and a team from A.S.Waton’s eLab donned their running shoes and completed Tough Mudder’s Urban Challenge (not the super muddy one!) on Clapham Common recently. Here’s what happened:

“Katherine Low Settlement are one of the corporate partners who A.S.Watson are really proud to support! We know all the great work they do for the local community in Battersea. We really wanted to do our bit to raise more money for them to make sure they continue with their brilliant work. What better way than to get stuck in (literally) by running the urban Tough Mudder on Clapham Common. 13 brave souls from eLab volunteered for the challenge and together we managed to raise over £500.

The run took place on a dark, chilly Friday evening with the whole team working together to overcome fears, support colleagues and friends to finish as a team and in one piece! The course was challenging in places with a serious amount of teamwork and encouragement required both physically and mentally to overcome some of the obstacles, facing the Blades of Glory, Devil’s Beard and the Pyramid Scheme along the way. No one was left behind, and we are really proud that everyone finished together, albeit slightly more bruised, dishevelled and muddy than when we started.

We want to say a massive thank you to all the friends, family and supporters who sponsored us, and a second thanks for all the great work that KLS are continuing to do. Who knows, maybe the 10 mile run might be in store for our volunteers next year…”

Thank You

A very BIG Thank You to all at A.S.Watson for their support and raising so much money for us. We really appreciate it.
