Wandsworth Welcomes Refugees is looking for a new chair

We co-founded Wandsworth Welcomes Refugees a number of years ago, to welcome more refugees to the borough. After three years Ellie Cusack is standing down as Chair. She’s been fantastic, but all good things come to end. SO… Wandsworth Welcomes Refugees is looking for a new Chair. Might you fit the bill? Or know someone suitable? Then get in touch with them on [email protected]

It’s a really exciting time to join the committee: they have big ambitions, a great programme of activities lined up, and there’s a lot of potential to achieve a great deal in Wandsworth, alongside a fantastic group of local organisations and volunteers.

Please share this opportunity with anyone you know who might be interested. They are especially welcoming expressions of interest from people of migrant or refugee backgrounds or from other underrepresented groups. You don’t need to be a native English speaker or have experience of working on refugee issues, but you do need to live in Wandsworth and be committed to achieving positive change for our community.

Please get in touch and spread the word.
