Love to Learn

Love to Learn

Love to Learn has been working with children and young people from refugee backgrounds and their families and carers since 2004.

We provide a range of services for 200+ children, young people and their families including befriending and mentoring support, advocacy and casework, a homework club and trips and activities.

We are working towards a future in which all young people fulfil their educational potential and do well, feel confident and enjoy learning.

How to volunteer

Volunteering with Love to Learn is really rewarding. We provide training, support and a DBS check and we ask that you commit to volunteering for at least 6 months (but most people stay much longer!)

Learning Mentors work with a young person once a week, supporting them with homework and developing study skills. Learning mentors can choose subjects they feel most confident in and the time they are able to make – usually after work. We’re looking for volunteers who live in a wide variety of areas and especially men!
