After ten and a half glorious years it’s time for me to move on and leave Katherine Low Settlement. I need some new adventures.
It’s never a good time to leave but now is a better time than others. As a charity we’re in a strong place. We have a fantastic team of staff and volunteers; strong leadership (senior team and trustees); super supportive partners, funders and donors; our financial situation is healthy; and above all we have the best members ever, who support us in making KLS and Battersea the fantastic community that it is.
We’ve hired an excellent charity recruitment agency, NFP Consultancy, who specialise in charity leadership recruitment. They’ve worked with our teams to scope out the type of leader we need next for KLS. Not an Aaron part 2. Someone with the right values, skills and experience, who will make their own mark, deliver our new 5-year strategy and take us into our Centenary year. We’re in good hands and I’m confident that we will find the right person to lead KLS. And, I’m not going anywhere until that person is in post, which we hope to be early autumn (September/October).
What next for me? Well, I don’t have another job lined up, but have a dozen or so ideas and areas that I’d like to explore, all about making a difference to people’s lives. Leading KLS is a full on job, so I’m looking forward to having a bit of time to develop these.
If you’d like to talk about any of this then do get in touch with me on [email protected]
