We’d love you to get involved with our Christmas Gift Appeal this year. It’s been such a tough year for everyone and we’d like to offer every single one of our members a gift and for our most vulnerable elders we are hoping to make up hampers of treats to make Christmas special.
We will also be asking for volunteers to help distribute some of the gifts and hampers in mid-December, do let me know if you would be interested in helping with this. My email is [email protected]
Elders Team gifts
We would love the following items for our Elders or if it is easier we can use your financial donation (donate here) to purchase items for gifts and hampers. If the gifts are wrapped, it would be great to know what’s in them and if it’s gender specific, so we can pass them to people who would benefit the most.
Examples of good gifts include:
So things that are useful are fabulous. Thank you.
We are also trying to make up some hampers so any Christmas food or drink, like nice biscuits, mini-Christmas Puddings, Wine, Soft Drinks, Chocolate, Nuts, Mince Pies etc.
GCSE Club gifts
We support around 40 young people in Year 10 and 11 with their GCSE studies. We’d love to give them a gift this Christmas. We are currently coming up with a wish list which I can send over shortly or again can use your donation to buy the gifts. Books are also great for this age group.
Amazon Smile
Finally, in case you’re starting to think about Christmas shopping on Amazon, please use Amazon Smile – find details of smile.amazon.co.uk – simple access Amazon via Smile and nominate us as your charity (search for Katherine Low Settlement) and we’ll get a small donation from Amazon for every purchase. Thank you.
