Jobs

We’re hiring!!!

Come and work for a busy, much-loved community-based charity, that’s been working in the heart of Battersea, south London since 1924.

We’re looking for 2 new members of staff:

  • Battersea Digital Worker
  • Fundraising Manager (with a focus on Trusts and Major Donors)

1. Battersea Digital Worker (new post)

£27,500 (pro rata) (+5% employer pension contributions)

21 hours per week (flexible working possible)

1 year contract

Working with KLS’ Head of Elders Team

Working across various venues in Battersea, based at KLS main offices, 108 Battersea High Street, London SW11 3HP, and working remotely during the pandemic.

This is a new and exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic person to work with older and vulnerable people to increase their digital connectiveness.

Covid-19 has laid bare the true extent of digital exclusion amongst local residents and communities across the borough. Tech Up Battersea is a new KLS project working to incorporate digital into Battersea residents’ everyday lives (focusing on older people and vulnerable adults), which in turn promotes independence and resiliency, reduces loneliness and isolation, and helps vulnerable people and older people in Battersea find ways out of poverty.

The strengths of Katherine Low Settlement lie in our relationships, facilities, reputation and fundraising capability to empower communities in Wandsworth in their fight against poverty and isolation. Our latest 5-year strategy sets out our plans to broaden the range of services and activities. We are already at capacity fitting fundraising and income generation into the myriad of day-to-day operational work.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced fundraiser to raise more funding from charitable trusts and foundations and major donors; and then manage the relationships and grants we secure. You will work alongside our CEO (an experienced fundraiser) to build fantastic relationships with our supporters and bring in substantial gifts.

This is an exciting and opportune time for an experienced fundraiser to join our team.
