Adalberto Lonardi recently joined our Elders team as a paid member of staff. He had volunteered with us previously. So it’s great that he’s joining us again. Here’s a bit more about Adalberto in his own words:
“I am a multidisciplinary Italian artist, educator, and creative director working with and for the social care sector. I worked in marketing in California, trained as a designer at Fabrica by Benetton in Italy and recently graduated from the Royal College of Art, here in London, with the awarded project titled ‘The United Generations’. My fields of interest span across adults and children education, social integration, and community empowerment.
I am part of KLS’s Elders Team as their Age Well Officer. My role is to develop a programme of activities that create relationships with local community groups and older individuals in Battersea. I support the planning of KLS’ Age Well services, organising, promoting and monitoring the activities we offer and leasing with our members, partners and funders. I also run some of the activities such as drawing online sessions, intergenerational workshops and creative walks.
I have been volunteering for KLS since 2019 while studying at the RCA. It is a loving place where everybody ensure their best for the community. I am happy to be part of it and to contribute with my expertise. I believe art and design are much needed disciplines to empower the essential services that our and the next generations will need in the future.
Many thanks,
Adalberto.”
